These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RetireQuest, operated by TechForest LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("Company", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise accessing RetireQuest, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

RetireQuest is an educational financial planning tool that helps users track expenses, model debt payoff, and project retirement timelines. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

RetireQuest is not a licensed financial advisor, broker-dealer, investment advisor, or financial planner. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All projections are estimates based on user-provided data and mathematical models — they do not guarantee future results. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RetireQuest. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. The service is primarily designed for U.S. residents; use outside the United States is at your own risk and may not comply with local laws.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when using the service
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
  • Use the service only for lawful personal financial planning purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its infrastructure

5. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or our User Policies, or if your use poses a security or legal risk to the platform or other users. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Legal Notice

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be accurate.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TechForest LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TechForest LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

10. Arbitration

For any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, you and TechForest LLC agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Massachusetts. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
